LATAM Restores Daily Miami–Buenos Aires Flights With 787

LATAM Resumes Miami–Buenos Aires Flights With Daily 787 Service

The airline returns to one of the U.S.'s busiest South American routes just in time for peak travel season.

South American airline LATAM is making a long-anticipated comeback on one of the busiest U.S.–South America routes. Beginning December 1, 2025, the carrier will launch daily nonstop service between Miami International Airport (MIA) and Ezeiza International Airport (EZE) in Buenos Aires, Argentina, ending a three-year pause on the route.

The flights will operate aboard a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, which accommodates up to 300 passengers. While details about the onboard product—specifically whether LATAM’s newest business-class suites will be featured—have yet to be confirmed, the return of the route alone is a strategic move.

A Strategic Resurgence on a Major Route

The Miami–Buenos Aires route is one of the five largest air markets between the United States and South America, according to Bureau of Transportation Statistics data via Cirium. LATAM's decision to resume service fills a notable gap in its expansive Miami-based network, which already includes seven nonstop routes to South America.

Historically, LATAM and its now-defunct affiliate LATAM Argentina operated on this route. LATAM Argentina served the market from 2004 until its pandemic-era shutdown, while LATAM briefly resumed flights in 2021 and 2022.

Competitive Landscape: American, Aerolineas Argentinas, and Now LATAM

As LATAM reenters this high-demand corridor, it joins American Airlines and Aerolineas Argentinas, both of which currently offer Miami–Buenos Aires flights. LATAM’s reintroduction of service is poised to offer more capacity and additional flight options for both leisure and business travelers.

Tickets are expected to go on sale in the coming days.

Key Flight Details: LATAM’s Miami–Buenos Aires Route

Boosting the LATAM–Delta Partnership

The new route is expected to strengthen LATAM’s joint venture with Delta Air Lines, which connects U.S. travelers to South America through key hubs. Delta operates flights to Miami from 12 U.S. airports, including Los Angeles (LAX), New York-JFK, LaGuardia (LGA), and Orlando (MCO)—effectively feeding LATAM's South America-bound departures.

Miami will now serve as Delta's third U.S. gateway to Buenos Aires, complementing existing routes from Atlanta (ATL) and JFK.

A Welcome Boost for South America-Bound Travelers

For travelers planning trips to Patagonia, Iguazu Falls, or Argentina’s vibrant capital city, LATAM’s return provides a premium and convenient option during the Southern Hemisphere summer travel season.

Whether you're redeeming miles or planning a holiday escape, LATAM’s Miami–Buenos Aires route offers renewed access to one of the most in-demand travel corridors.
