What’s New for 2025?

Rule changes are minimal this year, but the most notable adjustment is the removal of the extra point for the fastest lap, which often added strategic drama in previous seasons. Additionally:

  • Driver weight allowance has increased to 82kg.
  • Teams must feature young drivers in at least four race weekends (up from two).

2025 F1 Calendar Highlights

Australia opens the season (March 14-16), with a total of 24 races scheduled. Notable changes include the Spanish Grand Prix moving to the weekend after Monaco and a more evenly spaced second half of the season.

F1 Testing Schedule

Pre-season testing runs from February 26-28 in Bahrain, offering teams the final opportunity to fine-tune their cars before the season begins.
