F1 2025: Car Launches, Liveries, and Key Dates Ahead of the New Season

The countdown to the 2025 Formula 1 season is well underway, with all 10 teams set to unveil their cars and liveries for what promises to be an exciting season. This year marks the final year of the current regulation era before sweeping changes in 2026, adding extra anticipation to the upcoming campaign.

For the first time ever, all 10 teams and their 20 drivers will gather at London’s O2 Arena on February 18 for a joint launch event, celebrating F1’s 75th anniversary. The event will feature live music, interviews with drivers and team principals, and the much-anticipated livery reveals.

Confirmed Launch Dates and Events

February 14 – Williams

Williams will be the first team to reveal their new car, the FW47, at Silverstone. The launch will feature the first appearance of Carlos Sainz as a Williams driver, following his move from Ferrari. The car will debut in a special one-off livery, with the full 2025 race livery saved for the February 18 event.

February 18 – F1 2025 Season Launch at The O2 Arena

This all-team event will offer fans their first glimpse of the 2025 grid. While the teams will showcase their new liveries, the actual cars for the season will remain under wraps until pre-season testing.

February 19 – Ferrari

After the London event, Ferrari will head to Maranello to give their SF-25 its first track run at Fiorano. The car will be driven by Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc, marking Hamilton’s highly anticipated Ferrari debut.

February 23 – Aston Martin

Aston Martin will launch the AMR25 digitally. With Adrian Newey joining the team as a designer and Andy Cowell taking over as team principal, expectations are high for a stronger performance in 2025.

February 24 – Mercedes

Mercedes will reveal their new W16 just two days before pre-season testing in Bahrain. The car marks the start of a new era for the team, with rookie Andrea Kimi Antonelli joining George Russell.

When is F1 Pre-Season Testing?

Pre-season testing will take place from February 26-28 at the Bahrain International Circuit. Teams will have just three days to fine-tune their cars before the first race.

When is the First Race of 2025?

The season kicks off at Melbourne’s Albert Park from March 14-16. This marks a return to Australia as the opening race, with Bahrain shifting to the fourth round of the calendar.
